Steve and Naomi grew up going to Pleasant Valley Bible Camp. After working together for two summers, they began dating and were married in December of 2003. After working in the Grand Rapids area for a few years, the board of directors at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp invited the Sponable family to come to camp as full-time staff members. Within 8 months, God provided and the Sponables moved to camp in January 2008. Steve serves as Director and Naomi as Administrative Assistant to the director.

In 1988 in the small living room of Andy’s old family home, a group of Hindus and Muslims gathered to hear a gospel presentation. From this humble origin birthed the Association of Bible Churches. In 1992 we started a Bible Institute, with the purpose of training national pastors for the ministry. Throughout the years it has been our great pleasure to host teams from American churches. These teams have been a crucial asset to the growth and development of our churches in Guyana.
